A wonderful, calming and peaceful space set in the grounds of Urban Wellness Hub in the Bridge of Don.​

Designed and built by Paul from Highland Yurts in Strathdon, it's truly a unique space and nothing like it exists in Aberdeen. All the materials in the yurt is hand finished, and the lattice frame is air dryed making the Yurt an environmentally friendly space,

 

All aspects of the Yurt conform to the traditional and centuries-old methods of buidling Yurts. Furthermore, it can be 100% off grid using the solar panels for lighting and small appliances, phone charging etc when needed.

Hire from 4 hours to 1 day or weekend:

Hire costs:

1/2 day (4 hours) = £120

1 day (8 hours) = £200

Weekend 2 days = £370​

The crown window in the Yurt can be almost blackened out, to restrict the light ​entering the space. This is great if you are doing meditation or a class that works better in a darker atmosphere.

The Yurt accomodates up to10 people using yoga mats, for dynamic classes, or up to 20 people comfortably in a seating arrangement......................................................

At present, toilets are inside the Hub, which attendees can access during events. We are currently investigating installing a biodegradable toilet next to the Yurt.

• 10 seats included in basic hire rate (£1 p/person per hire

• one 3' x 2' table or 6', 2' available included in hire price

​Other information::

• Although the yurt is naturally very warm due to the thick insulation and very hot when the sun is shining, we have heating installed for when the days become colder. No charge is made for heating.

• There is stacks of storage space for coats and bags at the rear of the yurt inside our attached insulated shed to the rear.

• Scatter cushions are part of the hire.

• First aid kit and fire extinguisher is located inside the yurt.

• The crown window can be left exposed (for additional natural light) or blackened out.

• Use of the surrounding grounds is included in the hire cost, for any outside activity you may plan.
