FLOATATION
THERAPY
There is now a massive shift in consciousness where people are realising how much demands are being placed on them and are becoming more pro active about health needs.
However, there are many of us that have actually hit, or are near that break point too, and are looking for ways to help the physical body and mind with the recovery and restoration it needs. So if you are reading this and think, yes this is me, then you are in the right place. Backed by scientific research, floating has instant and lasting cumulative benefits, and the more you float, the better the effects get. Did you know? One hour of floating has the restorative effects of 4 hours of REM sleep!
Floating isn’t a new fad either, it has been around for years (since the 70’s), however it has now become more popular due to the celebrities, elite athletes & sports teams that now float regularly and recommend it.

Our minds are designed to analyse everything it hears, sees, feels, tastes and smells. These 5 senses work hard to interpret information before passing it you to make sense of it and sort out, no wonder our minds can become so full and we can become anxious as we fail to process all the many billions of bits of information we’re being given. The body’s natural reaction, is to produce cortisol which is a main component of stress. When you Float, sound, sight and touch is removed so your body lowers cortisol levels whilst your brain releases greatly elevated levels of endorphins and dopamine, the neurotransmitters of happiness also known to produce feeling of euphoria.
Your muscles, joints, and bones take a well-deserved break. Your mind becomes still and calm and your body suddenly has loads of extra resources, which allows it to focus on things like healing and resting – the stress simply floats away. The spine lengthens an inch, chronic pain is relieved, and your muscles are allowed to fully recover. Unlike lying on a mattress, lying in water allows blood to flow freely throughout your body, so no need to readjust your position to get comfortable.
Around 30 to 40 minutes into your float your brain stops producing its normal Alpha waves and starts churning out Theta waves.

These are the brain waves responsible for that ‘between awake and sleep’ like state, and you make them naturally every night before you fully reach the sleep zone. While it only lasts for a few sparse moments in your bed, you can achieve a prolonged Theta state in the float room, a state of consciousness that is usually only seen in children and people who have spent many years practicing deep meditation. It is a pretty amazing feeling, once you give the body a chance to let go and experience it.
Even the magnesium-based 100% pure Epsom Salts we use are good for you. They soften and replenish your skin and help counteract the magnesium deficiency that most of us have, due to depleted magnesium levels in our food.
